Route x Group Therapy

We are very excited to be collaborating with Group Therapy to curate a month of free online talks, workshops and Q&As to help people get started in the music industry, with a focus on mental well-being. The online events will run throughout March and topics include How to Start an Independent Record Label with Slow Dance, Untitled and Speedy Wunderground, A Beginners Guide to Music Sync with Woodwork Music, CV & Cover Letter tips with Route & BIMM, Mental Health & The Music Industry Panel, Creativity in Production with Dan Carey & Josh Baxter, and many more.
Group Therapy Collective was formed during the midst of the pandemic in March 2020, with the aim of creating a charity label to raise awareness and money for causes hit hard. Group Therapy Volume 1 raised over £2000 in 24 hours, for the Music Venue Trust and NHS Charities Together. Receiving press from Dork, NME, DIY & So Young Magazine to name a few. To date, the compilation has raised nearly £3500 from digital and physical sales of the compilation, made up of original tracks, demos, rarities, remixes and more.
Group Therapy Vol. 2 will follow in Spring 2021, and will raise money for Black Minds Matter, and Help Musicians UK, the charity behind Music Minds Matter. Turning their focus to mental health for Vol. 2 during this difficult time, these talks and workshops aim to support individuals as they try to break into the music industry, alongside tips for mindfulness and good mental health.
